Drive-Thru is a theatrical intervention in a fast-food format. The "consumer" chooses what to watch from a menu with 8 monologues to pick from - each monologue is maximum four minutes long. In clear a irony about the consumption society, the audience, "order" a show to watch individually, in a one to one relation to the actor, both inside a big acrylic box.
The Tropical Drive-Thru version was created to be performed in Rio de Janeiro in 2013. Teatro Enlatado invited local playwrights to create new texts, increasing our unprecedented menu of contemporary drama. The plays were written by : Alessandra Colassanti, Carolina Bianchi, Gabriel Pardal, Luana Carvalho, Vitor Paiva and Michel Blois.
